PACKAGING

Packaging

Zap packaging is designed for minimal impact: lightweight pouches, recyclable materials where facilities exist, and no unnecessary layers. Less mass = less transport energy.

Fact Sheet

  • Lightweight multi-layer pouches (under 3 g)
  • Outer packs made for recycling streams where available
  • No refrigeration or secondary wrappers
  • Ongoing tests on bio-based films & recyclable foils

Design philosophy

We balance protection, hygiene and transport weight. Every gram saved reduces CO₂ during shipping without compromising freshness or safety.

Material choices

Our current laminate structure is chosen for food-grade barrier and shelf stability. New bio-based and mono-material alternatives are being evaluated to enable single-stream recycling.

Testing & certification

Packaging materials comply with EU Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004 for food contact and migration limits. Certificates of Compliance and Declarations of Conformity are maintained for each batch.

Future work

We partner with EU suppliers developing next-gen biodegradable films and recyclable laminates to cut waste further.
